Attitude of Nursing Students Towards Work in the Clinical Learning Environment

Introduction: Exposure to the clinical learning environment is indispensable for nursing students as it provides experiences which are basic and significant development of professional skills well bridge theory-practice gap. Despite importance learning, students’ attitudes in has been a concern.Purpose: This paper reviewed attitude towards work environment.Method: Electronic searches using scholarly databases were employed only articles that met review objective utilized.Findings: revealed there high rate unauthorized student nurses’ absenteeism majority absent from without permission. There also an appalling display lateness behavior arrive at after scheduled time. Interestingly, most willing carry out procedures while some nonchalant due stressful anxiety provoking tasks. Student nurses felt unspoken comparison, discrimination disrespect displayed by their seniors medical colleagues them.Conclusion: overwhelming evidence literature supporting negative environment. It was therefore recommended should be psychologically prepared schools before exposure effort build self-esteem self-concept relevant authorities. Finally, rift between inter-professionals, need more social interaction opportunities where everyone will value what each member contributes team.
